Landscapes
Travelling around the world, it is impossible not to stop and wonder at the calm beauty and splendour of the national parks and nature reserves, so it is understandable why so many artists choose to immortalise these charming scenes in their paintings.
This series was inspired by England’s rich, green meadows, the magnificent blossoming of national parks, the ancient and majestic castles, the breath-taking waterfront of the numerous lakes and rivers, and the little villages buried in verdure. With her paintings, Elena tries to translate the freshness of the air and the changeable weather into the frame of the canvas - the brightness of the sun suddenly eclipsed by angry rain clouds and strong winds. From the striking rocks of the Stonehenge to the simple beauty of surrounding hills of Middlesex and the spring blossoming of tulips, rhododendrons and various other flowers and bushes.
Places include Szczawnica, the small village in Tatras mountains (Poland), Greece and French mountains of Chamonix. These fantastic settings have been a source of inspiration for Elena for many years.
